PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for removing a contaminated soil surface layer, suitable for quickly and surely removing a soil surface layer contaminated with heavy metal contained in irrigation water, radioactive substances in the atmosphere, etc. for instance, and minimizing the throughput at a low cost to reduce a burden after removal treatment and moreover securing the safety of a worker.SOLUTION: A method for removing a contaminated soil surface layer includes the steps of (1) scattering a slurry-like soil solidifying slurry material that contains a solidifying agent and liquid, on the soil surface, (2) infiltrating the soil solidifying slurry material scattered on the soil surface, into a shallow layer area of the soil surface without being mixed into the soil, to solidify a soil surface layer, and discoloring a solidified soil portion so as to be confirmable by visual observation, and (3) stripping the soil surface layer including the soil portion solidified with the soil solidifying slurry material, while confirming it by visual observation. |
