PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To implement traction transmission capacity control for pressing a second roller in a radial direction toward a first roller by a crank shaft, without requiring crank shaft rotation angle information.SOLUTION: While a determination part 150 determines a normal condition of a crank shaft rotation angle sensor 116, a normal-sensor motor drive current Ir determined based on a crank shaft rotation angle &thetas; is applied to a crank shaft drive motor 45. When the determination part determines an abnormal condition of the sensor 116, an abnormal-sensor motor drive current Ic determined by a calculation part 140 without depending on the crank shaft rotation angle is applied to the crank shaft drive motor 45. The calculation part determines the abnormal-sensor motor drive current from a crank shaft rotation angle command value &thetas;odr, on the basis of crank shaft rotation angle/crank shaft drive motor current characteristics obtained from crank shaft rotation angle/crank shaft drive reaction torque characteristics, without depending on the crank shaft rotation angle. |
