PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To smoothly and surely extract a defective wire without stopping wire transportation and without interfering with subsequent wires.SOLUTION: A defective wire extractor 1 is adopted, which includes an electric wire clamp opening member 7 arranged over an electric wire clamp at a prescribed position among a plurality of electric wire clamps 2 subjected to intermittent feeding, an electric wire chuck 4 arranged over a terminal 13a of an electric wire 13 held by the electric wire clamp at the prescribed position, respective ascent/descent driving means 5, 8 for lifting and lowering the electric wire clamp opening member and the electric wire chuck, and an electric wire guide member 9 arranged by advance/retreat driving means 10 between the electric wire chuck and the electric wire clamp opening member lifted by the ascent/descent driving means and electric wire clamps at lower prescribed positions advanceably and retreatably in an electric wire longitudinal direction to support a defective wire 13' held by the electric wire chuck 4. |
