Disclosed is an LED lighting device and length of life verification method thereof. Arranged within an LED lamp are a controller (4), a timekeeping chip (5) and a low-voltage DC power supply (6) for supplying power, the controller (4) being connected to a display terminal (7) by direct or indirect means. The timekeeping chip (5) records the work time of the LED lighting device in real time, and transmits the work time data to the display terminal (7) for display; at the same time, a light sensor (8) obtaining luminance data is arranged in the light-emitting area to measure the lumen maintenance factor in real time. When the measured lumen maintenance factor is lower than a preset service life lumen maintenance factor threshold value, the work time recorded by the LED lighting device is the length of life of said LED lighting device.
