The present invention proposes a counterpulsation therapy method which envisages a combined use of signals of the electrical activity of the heart and acoustic signals in such a manner that a wave R is initially defined on a cardiogram, followed by a second (aortic) tone. After the second tone has been defined, stimulation of the muscles by means of electropulses is initiated. A device for carrying out the method mentioned comprises a sensor of the signal of the electrical activity of the heart, a sensor of the acoustic signal of the heart, a unit for blocking the signal of the electrical activity of the heart, a unit for blocking the acoustic signal, and a control device which is connected to a muscle-stimulating device. |
