The valve assembly has a directional control valve device (20) that comprises a pair of valves movably mounted between two switching positions (A,B) of a valve housing. An actuator device (30) comprising an electrical coil, is provided for actuating the valves. A pair of permanent magnet is fixed on the valves. The valves include an annular blocking disc that is pressed against an annular sealing surface of the valve housing. Independent claims are included for the following: (1) a tank module of an urea injection system; (2) a gas appliance; and (3) a method for controlling a valve assembly.
