<p>A method and a system for sending and receiving a multimedia message. The method for sending a multimedia message comprises: a multimedia message sending terminal sending a multimedia message data packet to be sent to a first multimedia message wireless local area network (WLAN) access agent network gateway through a WLAN; the first multimedia message WLAN access agent network gateway processing the received multimedia message data packet, and sending the processed multimedia message data packet to a first multimedia message center corresponding to the multimedia message sending terminal; and the first multimedia message center sending the multimedia message data packet sent by the first multimedia message WLAN access agent network gateway to a second multimedia message center corresponding to a receiving party. In embodiments of the present invention, a transmission rate of the multimedia message, a success ratio of transceiving the multimedia message, and a satisfaction degree of user experience may be improved.</p> |
