The tool has tool components (1-5) connected together within a housing, where the first tool component is in form of a drive, and the second tool component is in form of a power take-off component. The tool components are provided with a self-contained wireless operating data communication unit (8), a memory and a power supply unit. The power supply unit enables a data communication unit to generate power using an inductive coupling. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a method for operating an electrical tool (2) a computer program comprising a set of instructions for operating an electrical tool.
