In order to enable file data that is outputted to an external device to be easily selected, and in order to prevent an unintended image from being outputted to the external device, a display control device which displays multiple windows is provided with: a window management means for generating and controlling the windows; a window operation means for selecting and moving the windows; and an external output unit for outputting the display contents of one window among the windows to another display device. The window management means generates an external output window for outputting the display contents to the external output unit, and the external output window displays the display contents of a window dragged and dropped by the window operation means, and externally outputs the display contents by the external output unit according to the setting of the external output window.
