[Problem] The purpose of the present invention is to propose a design for a contact lens which can impart natural appearance to eyes of a person who wears the contact lens and can change the original color or texture of the eyes objectively, and to provide a colored contact lens which can be produced at a reduced cost without adversely affecting physical properties inherent in the contact lens. [Solution] The colored contact lens according to the present invention has a transparent central visual area and a colored area surrounding the central visual area, said colored contact lens being characterized in that the colored area essentially has a sea-island structure composed of a continuous transparent part as a sea part and discontinuous colored opaque parts as island parts, wherein each of the colored opaque parts has a scaly shape and has a size of 70 to 600 mum as measured in the direction of the diameter of the lens and 40 to 300 mum as measured in the direction of the circumference of the lens. |
