The pump has an impeller (11) for conveying fluid. The central axial suction and radial outlet are provided for promoting the fluid from the impeller. The impeller has an upper cover plate (13), lower cover plate (20) and several intermediate blades (27). The blades in the radially inner region are less inclined in relation to the longitudinal center axis of the pump than in the radially outer region. The blades are increasingly bent and/or slanted from radial inner region to radial outer region. An independent claim is included for method for manufacturing impeller for pump.
