The present invention relates to an apparatus for compressing a scrapped car, which comprises a supporting board (10) which is lengthily formed from the left to the right and where the front and back ends of a scrapped car are placed toward the left and the right; a front plate (12) and a back plate (14) which are in parallel with each other on the top surface of the supporting board (10), and separately protrude so that the scrapped car (1) can be located inside; a pair of side compressing plates (30, 32) where the front and the back plates (12, 14) are installed at both facing ends thereof in order to compress the front and back surfaces of the scrapped car (1) respectively; side pressurizing cylinders (31, 33) which pressurize the side compressing plates (30, 32) in an adjacent direction to each other; an upper compressing plate (40) which is lowered into an internal space (S) formed by the front and back plates (12, 14) and the pair of side compressing plates (30, 32) in order to compress the top surface of the scrapped car (1); and an upper pressurizing cylinder (41) which elevates the upper compressing plate (40). A hinge unit (11) where the lower end of the front plate (12) is combined with a hinge is installed on the front surface of the supporting board (10), and an opening and closing unit (13) is installed on the supporting board (10) or an outer frame in order to rotate and open or close the front plate (12). The front part of the internal space (S) is opened by the rotation of the front plate (12) on the hinge unit (11) by the opening and closing unit (13) so that the scrapped car (1) can be input to the internal space (S) through the open front part. |
