PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fan motor, in which the durability of a bearing can be secured. SOLUTION: In this fan motor 1, since the bearing 16 is stored in a cylindrical portion 18 of a back yoke 20, oil is confined, oil leakage is minimized, an impeller portion 15 can be smoothly rotated, and the durability of the baring 16 is improved. Further, since the bearing 16 is retained by the bottom 24 of the cylindrical portion 18 while floating from a base plate 10, friction is not caused between the bearing 16 and the base plate 10 or a circuit board 12 when the impeller portion 15 rotates, and deterioration by abrasion of the bearing 16 is prevented.
