The present invention relates to a shock absorber arrangement, especially for wheel suspensions of motor vehicles, with at least one twin-tube shock absorber which has a first inner tube and a second outer tube arranged concentrically with this, a displaceable piston being supported inside the first inner tube, which piston is connected to a preferably upwards leading piston rod, whilst on that end of the shock absorber remote from the piston rod a valve plate provided with corresponding apertures is provided, at least that working chamber enclosed by the first inner tube and lying between the piston and the valve plate being completely filled with hydraulic fluid, and hydraulic fluid being able to flow to and fro through the valve plate, between the working chamber enclosed by the first inner tube and the annular chamber existing between the two tubes, when the piston is longitudinally displaced. In order to prevent undesirable functional failures of known twin-tube shock absorbers it is proposed in the context of the present invention that the second outer tube be designed as an elastic tube and that the annular chamber lying between the two concentric tubes also be completely filled with hydraulic fluid. |
