PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce or prevent a gap between a lock device and a striker under an engaged condition, and restrain the number of components of the lock device. SOLUTION: This lock device 20 includes: a base member 22, on which a striker engaging concave part 24 is formed; a lock detection member 30 having an engaging arm 32 and an operation arm 34 and rotatably journaled by the base member 22; and a locking member 40 slidably arranged by the guide flange 26a of the base member 22, connected by transmission means for transmitting the rotational action of the lock detection member 30 as a linear action, and blocking the opening of the striker engaging concave part 24 together with an engaging action that a striker S is fitted into the striker engaging concave part 24 into a lock position condition that it is nipped between the striker and a bottom part 24a.
