The invention relates to a device for the individual installation of aquatic helophyte-type plants, floating over the surface of the water. It is aimed at systems for purifying wastewater which use said type of aquatic plant or for landscape applications wherein floating islands are to be made with aquatic plants. The device consists of a single part wherein the aquatic plants are inserted. Said device can be introduced, in turn, inside a grid of polyethylene mesh extending over the surface of the water.
