PURPOSE: A method for synthesizing methane from a synthetic gas is provided to simplify process, and to efficiently product methane through an insulating reactor by effectively controlling reaction heat. CONSTITUTION: A method for synthesizing methane comprises a step of forming a mixed gas by adding steam(2) to a synthetic gas which is formed of carbon monoxide and hydrogen; a step of supplying the mixed gas to a reactor(3) and an insulative reactor(7); a and a step of synthesizing methane by supplying gas with high methane content to the insulative reactor. The amounted of added steam is 10-50 vol% with regard to the total volume of the synthetic gas and steam. 1-50 vol% of the total mixed gas is supplied to an isothermal reactor. |
