PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the loss in a controller of a bidirectional insulation DC-DC converter, by establishing ZVS even when the voltage difference between a primary DC voltage E1 and a secondary DC voltage E2 is large, or during heavy load.SOLUTION: In the controller of a bidirectional insulation DC-DC converter, pulse width modulators 9a, 9b provide a zero voltage period by turning the switching elements T1 and T2 or T3 and T4 connected in parallel in a first converter 20a simultaneously on, if the primary DC voltage E1 is larger than a secondary DC voltage conversion value nE2 thus narrowing the pulse width of a converter output voltage V1, and provide a zero voltage period by turning the switching elements T5 and T6 or T7 and T8 connected in parallel in a second converter 20b simultaneously on, if the secondary DC voltage conversion value nE2 is larger than the primary DC voltage E1, thus narrowing the pulse width of a converter output voltage V2. |
