PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rubber composition for studless tires capable of improving in good balance the on-icy snow performance, wet grip performance and abrasion resistance of a studless tire, and to provide such a studless tire made using the composition.SOLUTION: A rubber composition for studless tires comprises: a rubber component; silica and a resin of a glass transition temperature of -40°C to 60°C. In this composition, in 100 mass% of the rubber composition, the content of a conjugated diene polymer having conjugated diene-based constituent unit and constituent unit of formula (I) with at least one end of the polymer modified by a specific compound is 5 mass% or more; and the content of the silica, based on 100 pts.mass of the rubber component, is 5-150 pts.mass. |
