The present invention improves user-friendliness when synchronizing applications among a plurality of computers. A computer: stores in a size storage unit, for each of a plurality of applications, the size of synchronization data for synchronizing, with a synchronization server, components required to execute said application; measures the transmission speed between the computer and the synchronization server; uses the synchronization-data sizes and the transmission speed to determine, for each application, a priority with which to send/receive the synchronization data to/from the synchronization server; and sends/receives the synchronization data to/from the synchronization server in accordance with the determined priorities.
