[Class 53.] Cells; gas exits; connections.- An accumulator having a jelly electrolyte is provided with a chamber containing a material to absorb any liquid exuded from the electrolyte. In the form shown, the jelly M is kept in position by a perforated grid G above which is a partition F forming two chambers D, E. The chamber E collects liquid exuded from the electrolyte, and the chamber D is filled with glass wool which absorbs liquid passing through the gas vents which are arranged in the partition F and cover B. Connections to the accumulator are made at opposite ends A, K. |
