PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an oscillator identification apparatus and an oscillator identification method capable of highly accurately identifying an oscillator in spite of small storage capacity of frequency spectrum storage means and a low operation quantity.SOLUTION: An oscillator identification part 8 detects a frequency spectrum having the highest correlation coincidence with a frequency spectrum outputted from a fast Fourier transform part 6 by using limited information characterizing shape data of the frequency spectrum without storing all shape data of a plurality of frequency spectra stored in a frequency area database 7 and identifies an oscillator to be a transmission source of a pulse modulation RF signal received by a receiving antenna 1 from a pulse shape of a reference signal corresponding to the detected frequency spectrum.
