PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image restoration processing apparatus that includes a function of image restoration processing for correcting deterioration of image caused by an imaging optical system, and a user interface on which an operator sets gain indicating the degree of the correction and displays an image subjected to image restoration processing on a screen; and to solve the problem in which: when the gain set by the operator exceeds the actually applicable maximum value of the gain, even if the operator issues an instruction to increase the gain, the instruction causes no change to the image to be displayed in its appearance.SOLUTION: An image processing apparatus determines a difference between gain set with an adjustment value instructed by an operator and actually executable gain, and causes an image subjected to image restoration processing to be subjected to image processing different from the image restoration processing to improve sharpness according to the difference. |
