The present invention relates to a separation film for an electrochemical device and the electrochemical device including the same. The separation film includes: a porous base material which has pores; an organic/inorganic porous coating layer which is formed on at least one side except both end parts of the porous base material and includes a mixture of a first binder polymer and inorganic particles; and a binder polymer adhesive layer which is formed in the longitudinal direction in order to be connected to the organic/inorganic porous coating layer on the both end parts of the porous base material and contains a second binder polymer. By coating the end parts of the longitudinal direction of the separation film with the binder polymer adhesive layer according to the present invention, both electrode adhesive strength and battery performance are satisfied by having a much lower battery resistance while having same or better adhesive strength than a separation film on which a binder is coated all over.
