PURPOSE: A production method of clay for modeling is provided to secure high elasticity and elongation, soft texture, excellent crack resistance, and dimensional stability by successively mixing specific additives to an aged PVA resin solution. CONSTITUTION: A production method of clay for modeling comprises the following steps: producing a PVA solution; stirring the PVA solution with boric acid; successively adding polyvinyl pyrrolidone (PVP) and calcium carbonate (CaCO3) to the mixture from the previous step, and stirring the mixture at room temperature for 15-25 minutes; and aging the mixture for 115-125 minutes. The PVA solution producing step includes: a step of supplying polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) powder to a solvent inside a heat stirrer; a step of stirring the mixture for 15-20 minutes at room temperature, and for 110-130 minutes at 80-95°C to obtain the PVA solution; and a step of cooling the PVA solution to room temperature in an aging tank.
