A touch screen system using a touch pen and a touch recognizing method thereof are disclosed. The touch screen system includes a touch pen used for a touch screen panel by including the panel and an optical touch module, a first and second image sensors included in both sides of a top corner of the panel to obtain a touch recognition image when one or more sensors are touched on the touch screen panel through infrared light, a light emitting diode array emitting light to the top of the panel by being included in a side of the panel, a photodiode array receiving the light from the light emitting diode array by being placed on a facing surface of the light emitting diode array, a diode part emitting and receiving the light with the light emitting diode array by being placed in the top and bottom of the panel corresponding to a dead zone for recognizing a touch in the dead zone, a return reflection sheet reflecting infrared light radiated to a side of the panel in a longitudinal direction by an image sensor, and a main controller extracting first coordinate information of a touch point by using incident angle operation algorithm to which a triangulation method is applied through the touch recognition image and extracting second coordinate information of the touch point through the light emitting diode array, the photodiode array, and the diode part, and comparing the first coordinate information to the second coordinate information in order to recognize the touch point or illusion according to the comparison result. |
