PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To adjust spring force of a suspension spring while ensuring expansion and contraction operation in a damper housed in a fork body. SOLUTION: A jack mechanism includes a cap member 11, and a piston member 12 connected to the cap member 11 to form an expandable pressure chamber R3 with the cap member 11. The pressure chamber R3 is expanded or contracted by supplying/discharging fluid pressure to/from the pressure chamber R3. The piston member 12 is moved up/down with respect to the cap member 11 to move a top end position in the suspension spring. The piston member 12 includes a lower part 12b for connecting an upper cylinder part 12a in slide contact with the outer periphery of the cap member 11 to the top end.
