<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To measure the area, diameter or the like of a pupil part changing with time, even at a high frame rate from the eye part image of a subject photographed by a camera by extracting the pupil part of the subject by simple arithmetic processing. <P>SOLUTION: Image data corresponding to the eye part image is predetermined from the photographed face image of the subject, and binarization processing is performed on the eye part image with a predetermined first threshold to display the pupil part. The number of pixels in the binarized region is counted to obtain the area of a part of the pupil part of the subject, and binarization processing is performed on the eye part image with a predetermined second threshold to display a bright spot of a corneal reflex. The number of pixels in the binarized region is counted to obtain the area of a part of the pupil part of the subject, and the area of the pupil part of the subject is estimated from the added value of both numbers of pixels. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
