PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pipe joint and a pipe connection structure capable of increasing the reliability of water sealing properties and suppressing the occurrence of defects at a pipe joint portion while facilitating the connecting operation in a technique of pipe joint using a water absorbing expansible material. SOLUTION: In this pipe joint, a seal material 12 made of the water absorbing expansible material is formed integrally with the inner peripheral surface of a pipe joint body member 11 so as to face the outer peripheral surface of a spiral corrugated pipe 2 to be connected. Spiral large-diameter part 111 and small-diameter part 112 which generally match the spiral recesses and ribs of a pipe are provided to the inner peripheral surface of the pipe joint body member. The gap between the pipe joint body member and the pipe is larger at the small-diameter part 112 than at the large-diameter part 111. A line band (T1) with a predetermined with which is made of a sheet-like water absorbing expandable material is spirally wound so that the adjacent side edges thereof are overlapped with each other at the small-diameter part 112 to form the seal material 12.
