PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas fan heater capable of preventing failure caused by clogging of an opening of a primary air damper by sensing dust accumulated in the opening of the primary air damper. SOLUTION: In the gas fan heater 1, inside of a body casing includes: a gas burner 4 having a burner body 40 with a burner port, the primary air damper 41 arranged in an introduction port of fuel gas and primary air of the burner body 40 and provided with the opening 41a with a predetermined area and a gas pipe 51 having a tip nozzle 56 inserted to the opening 41a of the primary air damper 41; and a convection fan 24. The gas fan heater 1 includes: a dust accumulation table 61 which is installed in the vicinity of the opening 41a and in which dust is accumulated; a dust sensing means 62 sensing accumulation of dust when the dust is accumulated up to a predetermined thickness on the dust accumulation table 61 and comprising a light emitting part 63 and a light receiving part 64; and an informing means providing information when accumulation of dust is sensed by the dust sensing means 62.
