Cable with resistant covering

The cable has a wire surrounded by a resistant two-layered covering that comprises an inner layer (2) and an outer layer (1). A boundary face (3) is formed between the inner layer and the outer layer, where a radius of the boundary face changes parallel to longitudinal axis of the cable between a radial minimum and a radial maximum. The radial minimum and maximum of the boundary face and/or a flow seam of the covering are aligned at an angle of 1 degree to a longitudinal center plane of the cable. The boundary face comprises a cross-section with regular radial portions (7). Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a method for manufacturing a cable (2) an extruder die for manufacturing a cable.
