The present invention relates to a plate-shaped-body counting device for a plate-shaped-body stacked body which counts the number of plate-shaped bodies in a plate-shaped-body stacked body in which a plurality of plate-shaped bodies are stacked; the device comprises a light receiving means that receives light reflected by the stack surface of the plate-shaped-body stacked body, an image processing means that binarizes the stack-surface image information output from the light receiving means and acquires candidate points corresponding to the plate-shaped bodies, and a calculation means for calculating the number of plate-shaped bodies by counting determined points calculated on the basis of the candidate points acquired by the image processing means. The calculation means calculates an average pitch on the basis of the pitches of the candidate points, calculates candidate points having a pitch equal to that of the average pitch as determined points, and when the pitch of adjacent candidate points is at least the average pitch or greater, divides the pitch of the adjacent candidate points by the average pitch to calculate the determined points between the adjacent candidate points and counts all the determined points including the calculated determined points. |
