PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasonic probe which is improved in performance for transmission of ultrasonic vibration. SOLUTION: The ultrasonic probe 28, which is a metal-made ultrasonic probe for transmitting ultrasonic vibration, has at least one part of the metal tissue that has anisotropy along the direction to transmit the ultrasonic vibration. The metal tissue, which has anisotropy along an axial direction, facilitates the ultrasonic vibration to be transmitted in the axial direction, allowing improvement of the ultrasonic probe 28 in performance for transmission of ultrasonic vibration.
