FIELD: physics.SUBSTANCE: invention performs switching, in the display drive circuit of a charge-coupled liquid crystal display device, between a driving mode with change of direction every two rows (2H), where polarity of the data signal (S) transmitted to the source line changes every two horizontal scanning periods, and a driving mode with change of direction every row (1H), where polarity of the data signal (S) transmitted to the source line changes every horizontal scanning period.
