ASSEMBLY AND WELDING LINE OF SIDE WALLS OF WAGONS

An assembly and welding line of side walls of wagons is formed as a horizontal frame with fixing elements secured thereto and is composed of portals for welding in longitudinal and transverse directions equipped with welding equipment and adapted to move along guides on the frame. The portal for welding in transverse direction is equipped with a carriage equipped with two platforms fixed opposite each other. On one of the platforms a unit is mounted for clamping a casing to racks equipped with welding heads and a welding wire feeder with adjustable feed rate. On another platform inverter arc welding rectifiers are mounted. The portal is driven by an electric motor, a clutch and a gearbox with a dual output shaft connected to lead rollers of the portal, whose locking occurs at contact of wedge mechanisms placed from its both sides with locking plates mounted on the sides of frame. The wedge mechanisms are located in housings equipped with limit switches for locking the portals and limit switches for locking upper and lower positions of the wedge mechanism.
