PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device capable of reducing power consumption by saving power of a paper feeder.SOLUTION: An image forming device 100 comprises a paper feeder 150 to feed paper. The paper feeder 150 includes: a paper feeder cassette 152 for storing paper sheets P to be fed; a lifting plate 264 for moving up and down the paper sheets P stored in the paper feeder cassette 152; a lift-up motor 254 to drive the lifting plate 264 for lifting up the stored paper sheets P to a paper feedable position; and a sub control part 252 which controls driving of the lift-up motor 254. The sub control part 252 not only detects the status of the image forming device 100 but also switches the voltage impressed to the lift-up motor 254 to a rating voltage or a voltage X (V) lower than the rating voltage depending on the status of the detected image forming device 100 and drives the lift-up motor 254 by the voltage. |
