PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a washing machine, in which an operation panel is installed in a lying down state and a liquid crystal display panel is incorporated into the operation panel, which shows the display content of the liquid crystal display panel clearly even when a user is away from the front of the washing machine.SOLUTION: A washing machine has an operation panel 8 having: an operation key 10f (an operation unit) which performs an operation related to a washing operation; and a liquid crystal display panel 12 that displays according to the operation of the operation unit, and the operation panel 8 is installed at a surface angle α of 0 to 45 degrees in the direction erecting from the horizontal.
