Chip inductor with ceramic body

摘要

A chip inductor comprises a ceramic body 20 having a central bore 21 and a plurality of external terminals 40 formed by attaching a plurality layers of different metals and/or alloys on suitable locations of the ceramic body 20. A magnetic core 31 wound with an electrically conductive wire 32 is disposed inside the central bore 21 of the body 20 with the wire 32 electrically connected to the external terminals, 40 eg by soldering. The bore 21 of the body 20 is sealed by insulating members 50 to enclose the magnetic core 31. Each terminal 40 may comprise a layer of silver, a layer of nickel and a layer of tin-lead alloy.
