PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform a highly accurate inverse tangent operation even for a small value in the inverse tangent operation using a small-scale fixed point.SOLUTION: An inverse tangent arithmetic circuit 50 includes: a left shift circuit 52 for bit-shifting input data of an x-coordinate and input data of a y-coordinate to the left by a same amount; and an arithmetic circuit 12 for performing, for the input data having been bit-shifted to the left, an inverse tangent operation by a VECTOR mode of CORDIC algorithm. |
