PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light-emitting device having high light extraction efficiency, and suppressing a manufacturing cost.SOLUTION: A light-emitting device 10 has a face-up type LED chip 12 having a rectangular shape in a plane view, and a rectangular parallelepiped sealing portion 13 for sealing the LED chip 12. An angle between a side surface 12b of the LED chip 12 and a side surface 13b of the sealing portion 13 is 45±17°. At least a part of light emitted from the LED chip 12 is emitted from the side surface 13b of the sealing portion 13. |
