PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently remove unnecessary coated film from a base body.SOLUTION: A coated film removal device includes: a lift mechanism which lifts or lowers a cylindrical base body, having a coated film formed thereon by an immersion method, while supporting the same to keep the central axis thereof vertical; a solvent reservoir which is provided below the base body to store a solvent for removing the coated film; a cylindrical wiping member which is located in the solvent reservoir rotatably about the central axis of the base body and whose lower end is immersed in the solvent reservoir while the upper end can be fitted into the tip of the base body; and a rotation mechanism which rotates the wiping member relative to the base body. The cylindrical wiping member has grooves formed on an outer periphery surface. When the base body is lowered by the lift mechanism, the wiping member is fitted into the base body without having the base body immersed in the solvent reservoir. Rotating the wiping member relative to the base body then causes the solvent to be guided though the grooves up into the base body to remove the coated film. |
