摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a positive electrode for a lithium ion battery in which oxidation corrosion of an aluminum foil, i.e., a collector, is suppressed and binding properties of a positive electrode active material to the aluminum foil is enhanced.SOLUTION: The method of manufacturing the positive electrode for a lithium ion battery includes a step for coating an aluminum foil with a buffer solution containing a carboxylic acid forming a complex with aluminum, an alkali metal salt of carboxylic acid, and water, and a step for coating a region, coated with the buffer solution, with a basic positive electrode material slurry containing the positive electrode active material and water, as a solvent, before the buffer solution dries up.
