PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a sponge grinding wheel for enabling a highly accurate mirror grinding finish.SOLUTION: A grinding wheel using an epoxy resin as a binder is a low-modulus and high-strain grinding wheel which is formed into a closed-cell sponge by imparting flexibility to the epoxy resin with special hardener and using a foaming agent to foam the epoxy resin. The grinding wheel enables finishing polish with small grinding resistance and no micro crack nor a hair line. |
