PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent dropper pins from being lowered due to loosening of warp yarns when a loom is stopped; and to prevent a dropper device from erroneously detecting warp yarn breakage due to lowering of the dropper pins.SOLUTION: A tire cord weaving apparatus 1 includes: a warp yarn tension adjusting device 3 including dancer rollers 10a and 10b for equalizing the tension of warp yarns drawn from a creel device 2, and a dropper device 8 disposed upstream of the dancer rollers 10a and 10b; and a loom 4 for weaving a tire cord fabric from the warp yarns supplied via the warp yarn tension adjusting device 3. In the tire cord weaving apparatus 1, by using an urging roller 10a which is extended above the warp yarns in a direction perpendicular to the travel direction of the warp yarns, and which moves up and down, and using an urging device 11 including a fluid-pressure cylinder 15 for applying urging force F to the urging roller 10a in such a direction as to lower the urging roller 10a, the urging force is applied to the urging roller 10a over a period from a first time after a time when the loom 4 is stopped to a time when the loom 4 is restarted. |
