PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water-soluble yellow pigment (compound) having high solubility in water and various fastnesses such as water resistance, moisture resistance, ozone gas resistance, abrasion resistance, light resistance, etc., especially excellent ozone gas resistance, a yellow ink composition that comprises the pigment and is useful for various recordings and an inkjet recording method using the yellow ink composition.SOLUTION: There is provided a water-soluble bisazo compound obtained, for example, by reacting a monoazo represented by formula (5) with cyanuric chloride, then with p-phenolsulfonic acid and finally with ethylenediamine in this order, or a salt thereof. |
