PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and system for determining a trim line to be used in deep drawing of a tabular metal component.SOLUTION: A tabular metal component and an addendum surface geometrical arithmetic model are defined. At least one flange part is specified in the arithmetic model. A numerical simulation for expanding a flange toward an addendum surface is performed by applying a first set of numerical loads to a finite element adjacent to respective pairs. The first set of numerical loads is configured so as to flatten the finite element adjacent to the respective pairs by the bending moment determined by using relative arrangement of the finite element adjacent to the respective pairs and a material property of a component. After that, a second set of numerical loads is applied so as to close all gaps left behind between the expanded flange and the addendum. An outer edge of the flange part in the finally expanded structure is designated as a trim line. |
