The device i.e. smart card (SCARD) has an internal antenna (ANT1) connected to an electronic chip (CHIP), and another internal antenna (ANT2) connected to an external antenna (EXT ANT), where the internal antennas are movable relative to each other. The internal antennas have an interface between the electronic chip and the external antenna when the internal antennas are in a relative position, and the internal antennas prevent the electronic chip from communicating via the external antenna when the internal antennas are in another relative position. An independent claim is also included for a method for protecting an electronic device.
