A method for converting/inverting a multicast address in a portable internet network and a method for transmitting a packet by using the same are provided to convert a multicast address of a network layer for transmitting an IPv6 packet into connection identification information performed as an address of the link layer. A mobile communication terminal and a base station device determine whether a packet to be transmitted is an IPv6 packet(401). When the packet to be transmitted is not an IPv6 packet, it is determined that the packet is an IPv4 packet. It is checked whether the IPv6 packet is transmitted through multicast based on the determination result(403). When the IPv6 packet is transmitted through unicast, IEEE 802.16 transport connection identification information is configured and transmitted to the base station device and a receiving module of the mobile communication terminal(404). |
