PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thin display unit having an improved function for ventilation and dust proofing at a space between a display panel and a cover plate.SOLUTION: The display area of a display screen 12a in a display panel 10 is defined by edge parts 21a and 21c of a first window part 21 arranged at a first frame body 20. The first frame body 20 is formed of a thin synthetic resin sheet, having an upper ventilation path 22 and a side ventilation path 23. An outer communication part 22a of the upper ventilation path 22 and an outer communication part 23a of the side ventilation path 23 are exposed to holes 34 and 37 formed in a second frame body 31 located ahead thereof. An inner communication part 22b of the upper ventilation path 22 and an inner communication part 23b of the side ventilation path 23 are exposed to inside edge parts 33a and 33c of a second window part 33 of the second frame body 31. The upper ventilation path 22 and the side ventilation path 23 allow a space between the display panel 10 and a cover plate 4 to communicate with an outer space. |
