PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an illumination device capable of efficiently radiating heat in a state of being installed on a ceiling.SOLUTION: An illumination device 1 includes: heat-radiating fins 20 arranged, so as to be exposed to the outside, on an upper surface of a case 10 in which a light source and a drive unit are accommodated; and a fixing section whereby the case 10 is fixed to a ceiling face. The heat-radiating fins 20 include groove-shaped ventilation channels that are arranged between the plurality of fins, provided so as to extend in mutually parallel fashion along a first direction, and whereof both ends are open to the outside along with this first direction. The fixing section supports the case 10 by means of the ceiling face, in such a way that the heat-radiating fins 20 are arranged at a distance from the ceiling face. When the illumination device 1 is arranged on the ceiling face, spaces that are formed between the heat-radiating fins 20 and the ceiling face are open to the outside respectively at both ends along the first direction and are open to the outside respectively at both ends along a second direction, which is a direction in which the plurality of fins are lined up. |
